Salomon’s story
Salomon Urraca was born in the Dominican Republic. From a young age, he developed a passion for photography, captivated by the the fat that he was able to make story by taking the perfect photo that cant never where able to dreplicate. His journey into professional fitness photography began around the age of 15, when his friends Lionel and Joelby Valerio introduced him to bodybuilding magazines and nutritional products. The stunning, fascinating images of athletes in those magazines inspired Salomon to pursue his dream of becoming a professional fitnessphotographer specializing in fitness.
His friends also took him to his first bodybuilding event, which cemented his love for the sport and photography. Over time, Salomon became the go-to photographer for fitness competitions in the Dominican Republic.
In late 2011, he moved to Miami to expand his career. While it wasn’t easy at first, he gradually began attending events and showcasing his work. His dedication and talent eventually opened doors to photographing two of the largest bodybuilding competitions: the NPC and IFBB bodybuilding federations.
Salomon feels deeply grateful and humbled by the opportunity to work with legends, champions, and fitness enthusiasts. For him, it’s surreal to now photograph athletes he once admired in magazines. He attributes his success to his faith in God, his unique lighting techniques, meticulous editing, attention to detail, and above all, his unwavering passion for photography. Salomon finds joy and fulfillment in capturing the artistry and dedication of the fitness world every single day.
